Copper Dog is a blended malt Scotch whisky that is crafted from a selection of handpicked Speyside whiskies. It is named after a device used to help whisky smugglers sneak their precious cargo past the excise officers in the 19th century.

The whisky is a blend of eight single malts, with a focus on fruitier Speyside whiskies such as Glen Elgin, Craigellachie, and Aultmore. The combination of these whiskies creates a rich, smooth, and complex flavor profile with notes of ripe fruit, vanilla, and toffee.

Copper Dog is a relatively new brand, launched in 2016 by the independent bottler The Whisky Exchange. It is bottled at 40% ABV and is designed to be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in a cocktail.
